The Place
The gîte is located in a dead-end street in the hamlet of Baneux. Situated on the heights of the village you can enjoy a very pleasant view to the east over the valley of La Lienne. The bakery ‘Le coin des gourmands’, 300 metres away, is open from 6.00 am on Saturdays and Sundays. The house is situated on the edge of the wood, where you can watch game, and is also situated along a beautiful 3km walk with superb views, particularly when you pass the orientation table. From this walk, you can see the 2 upper fog basins of the Coo hydroelectric power station.
Durbuy, the smallest town in the world, is a 30-minute drive away. Nearby tourist attractions include the Spa-Francorchamps race circuit, the Coo waterfall and its theme park, Durbuy adventure valley, the Remouchamps caves, the Chlorophylle park and the animal parks of La Roche, La Reid and Aywaille. If you like beer, there's the Lienne microbrewery. A car is essential, but there is a TEC bus stop 200 metres away and Vielsalm station is 13 km away.
